Stratum Infra Group is expanding operations in Metro Atlanta and throughout Georgia and is seeking a licensed Georgia Utility Manager to serve as the responsible qualifying agent for underground utility operations. This leadership role will oversee wet and dry utility construction, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth across the Georgia market.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the licensed Utility Manager for Atlanta and statewide Georgia operations
• Oversee underground utility construction projects, including wet and dry utilities
• Ensure compliance with Georgia licensing requirements, safety standards, and local regulations
• Support project execution, quality control, and operational oversight
• Assist with permitting, staffing, and operational growth as the Georgia footprint expands
• Review construction plans and specifications, prepare cost estimates for utility projects
• Analyze labor and material requirements, coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors
• Support bid preparation and assist with project procurement
Requirements:
• Active Georgia Utility Manager License (required)
• Must be a full-time employee and not licensed or acting as a responsible party for any other company
• Strong experience in underground utility construction
• Familiarity with Atlanta metro and Georgia regulations preferred

Operate heavy equipment including excavators, backhoes, trenchers, and loaders for utility installation projects. Perform daily equipment inspections, maintain safety standards, and follow site-specific excavation plans.
Responsibilities:
• Operate excavators, backhoes, trenchers, and loaders for trenching, grading, and utility installation
• Read and follow excavation plans, trench safety requirements, and on-site direction from the foreman/leadman
• Perform daily pre-trip inspections, basic maintenance, and report equipment issues promptly
• Support crew with material handling, backfilling, compaction, and site restoration as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with OSHA/trench safety and company policies
Requirements:
• 3+ years operating heavy equipment on utility/civil sites
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred if applicable)
• Reliable attendance, safety-first mindset, and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
Direct and supervise field crews on job sites, assign daily tasks, ensure work quality and safety standards, train crew members, coordinate with the Utility Manager, and maintain equipment and materials inventory.
Responsibilities:
• Lead daily field operations and crew assignments for underground utility work
• Coordinate with the Utility Manager/PM on schedule, production goals, and site constraints
• Ensure work is performed to plan/spec and maintain quality checks (grade, alignment, compaction, restoration)
• Enforce safety requirements (trench safety, PPE, utility awareness) and conduct toolbox talks
• Track materials/equipment usage and request deliveries to keep crews productive
• Train and mentor crew members; verify jobsite documentation as required
Requirements:
• 4+ years underground utility experience with leadership responsibility
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and jobsite coordination skills
• Ability to read plans and direct crews safely and efficiently
Supervise installation crews, coordinate underground utility work including trenching and pipe laying, ensure proper installation techniques, conduct quality inspections, enforce safety protocols, and report progress to the leadman.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise crew execution for trenching, pipe/conduit installation, and tie-ins per plans/specs
• Coordinate daily activities, equipment needs, and task sequencing to meet schedule
• Ensure trench safety compliance, utility locate adherence, and safe work practices throughout the day
• Perform quality checks (grade, slope, bedding, connections, testing readiness) and correct issues immediately
• Communicate progress, constraints, and resource needs to the leadman/utility manager
• Maintain jobsite housekeeping and support final restoration requirements
Requirements:
• 2+ years as a foreman or lead crew member on underground utility projects
• Working knowledge of wet/dry utility installation practices and trench safety
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to lead crews in the field
